P6 Math: Student average mark

 A group of students sat for a test. Their average mark was 74.5. Three students found out that their marks were wrongly recorded as 63 instead of 84. The mark increased to 76.3 after correcting the mistakes.

(a) How many students sat for the test?

(b) A student who was absent sat for the test when he came back to school. The average mark decreased to 75 when his marks was included. What was the total marks the class scored?

P6 Math: Pandan and Lotus Paste Mooncakes

Putra baked some mooncakes. There were 25% fewer pandan mooncakes than lotus paste mooncakes. He took 20 pandan mooncakes to give to his friends and baked another 13 lotus paste mooncakes. He packed the rest into boxes of 7 mooncakes each. If there were 5 lotus paste mooncakes in each box, how many pandan mooncakes did he bake at first ?

There are 200 apples and 90 oranges in Basket X.

There are 80 apples and 100 oranges in Basket Y.

Find the total number of apples and oranges that must be transferred from Basket X to Basket Y so that 4/5 of the fruits in Basket X and 1/2 of the fruits in Basket Y are apples.
